A MESSAGE OF PEACE TO FRANCE

US VETERAN PAUL ANDERT   SHARES HIS ACCOUNT

Soldier Paul Andert, 18 in 1941
A rare, clear and most honest account

We owe much to Mrs Christine Besnier, a French relative of Paul. She had heard of the student's work on Albert Figg's book and made contact in july 2016 to see if we would like to work on Paul's account, especially his book.

10 months later, we organised a talk using the internet. Paul's nephew, Mike Andert was most helpful in setting up this meeting online, driving all the way to Paul's home.

As a result, Paul made a talk in front of 30-odd students from the High School in Évreux and work started on the translation of a chapter of Paul's account.

Paul was UNSTOPPABLE!

Paul Andert almost walked in the steps of Général Patton - or was it the other way round! He met him on 3 occasions: in Louisiana, in North Africa and in Germany.
