THE PARTNERS THAT HAVE BEEN HELPING US SINCE 2014
For more than 20 years, Tenno Dogger has encougaed veterans from the Battle of Normandy t come and share their stories. Volunteers from Deep Respect are originated from countries worldwide. They are all willing to make sure History and memories from WW2 are nor forgotten. Meetings with Deep Respect occur several times a year around Normandy.
Ian Patrick has made portraits of WW2 veterans from the moment he found out about the account of his father. A couple of portraits are regularly shown to pupils at the High School. He also is an active member of Deep Respect.
Since 2016, the speaker for the International Red Cross Committee, Mr Frédéric Joli, comes from Paris and spends a day meeting a couple of school groups. They talk about what the pupils have worked on and about issues related to forein affairs.
French Ministry of Defense helps fund ountings on historical sites of the Battle of Normandy for our pupils since 2014.
The local section (département de l'Eure, president: Colonel Jean-Pierre Durand) of that association has been helping us every year since 2016, either in understanding the site of cimetière st Louis in Évreux, or by granting subsidies to our school so as to bring groups on History and memory sites of the Battle of Normandy.
Editor Grégory Pique has made the amazing bet of believing our school could address the challenge of publishing a collection of eye-witness accounts!
We hope to develop a partnership with our new friends in Darmstadt
This museum in Colleville-sur-Mer has welcomed us ever since our first trip there in September 2014. That is where we met with eric Rackham's widow, veterans Roy O'Neill, James Kunkle and Cyril Banks and two civilians: Mrs Le Gand and Mr Duval.
Comité Juno works with the Canadian Embassy. It was created so as to keep the memory of the Canadians who fought in Normandy alive.
It was after meeting Mr David, vice-president of Comité Juno, that a school group interviewed Mme Burgard, then visited the Centre Juno at Courseulles-sur-Mer. There, the interview of Mr Le Baron was conducted (octobre 2018).
Thierry Fayolle, the owner of the Évreux branch of this bookshop has always been keen on having pupils come into the bookshop to interview his staff and present the books published with the contribution of our school
This committee organises events to keep the memory of the Camp of Mauthausen alive. Not as simple a task as it seems...
This association promotes the education of the young and helps our school in different ways: financing outings as well as developing new methods of talks in class
The Forum Normandy for Peace
We are proud to present the public in Évreux with the translation of the autobiography of British veteran Albert Figg.
